About the Role

Consunet is seeking a passionate and experienced System Engineer to collaboratively work with a medium sized team comprising of engineers, software developers and clients to help build exciting software products. The role requires an energetic engineer with aptitude, attitude and an eye for detail that is capable in maintaining enduring customer relationships. In this role you will provide systems engineering expertise and mentorship in the development and delivery of advanced Electronic Warfare software products for our Defence customers. Defence experience in working with CASG (ASDEFCON) clients/staff is an integral part of the role, in addition to understanding and applying relevant Systems Engineering standards and best practices, whilst ensuring internal processes are developed and maintained IAW Consunet’s Quality Management System.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• Relevant degree in Engineering and/or Computer Sciences.
• Foster a working environment that is focused on meeting customer requirements.
• Provide technical rigour and oversight on the development and maintenance of engineering artefacts throughout the engineering lifecycle. This includes activities and documentation associated with requirements definition and management; traceability; engineering change; verification and validation; and sustainment.
• Develop and implement systems engineering processes.
• Proactively identify and address engineering risks.
• Mentor other company Systems Engineers and technical staff on Systems Engineering practices, including working closely with the Systems Engineering Lead.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in, or understanding of, Agile software engineering methodologies.
• Knowledge of one or more of the following domains: Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare (C4ISREW) or Information Warfare (IW).
• Experience in working with the design and implementation of software products.
