About the Role

Consunet is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person to join our expanding team as a Finance Officer (Bookkeeper, Payroll, AP/AR). The successful candidate will have a few years of experience across finance, accounts, payroll, MYOB, and general financial administration tasks.

The Finance Officer role will report to our Financial Controller (FC) and be based in our Head Office, Adelaide CBD. This role will be a permanent position and is a great opportunity to grow with an enterprise that offers work-life benefits such as flexible working arrangements and education support.

To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian citizen and eligible for a security clearance.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Assisting with processing of accounts receivable and payable in a timely manner.
  • Processing and organising general Finance queries in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Various finance functions including bank reconciliations, checks and balances and maintain existing suppliers.
  • Managing travel expenses/arrangements for staff travel.
  • Assisting with bookings and payments for events across other functions of the organisation.
  • Provide an internal project audit function, ensuring project setup and maintenance compliance.
  • Assisting project stakeholders and Financial Controller with project budget setup and maintenance.
  • Working with the Data Analyst to ensure effective outcomes for the enterprise are achieved.
  • Contributing to the modernisation of Project Finance and delivery of continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to the continual improvement of organisational methods, processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Participating in reviews of own work and collaborate in reviews of work with others.
  • Any other tasks as determined by the FC.

To be considered, candidates will have:

  • Proficient experience in MYOB.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite (Excel, Microsoft Office skills).
  • Task tracking tool experience with Atlassian - Jira, Confluence (preferred).
  • Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting processes and exposure to medium organisations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to varying tasks.
