About the Role

As a Consunet DevSecOps Engineer you will be responsible for contributing, consulting, and assisting with delivery of a range of projects using industry standard DevSecOps practices. By working closely with our architects, software engineers, leadership team and our clients you will build strong relationships and together provide technology solutions in the Defence market sector. You will be improving and managing projects software development tooling, automation pipelines and associated platforms and services. Within this role you will face fascinating challenges as you help contribute to the establishment and evolution of our DevSecOps capabilities. You will be applying Agile software engineering best practices and supporting our teams adopt and adhere to a DevSecOps culture.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• Helping our teams adopt and adhere to a DevOps culture.
• Document designated technologies, installations and applications including maintenance, support procedures and work instructions.
• Actively participate in the development of standards and promote their implementation across the unit.
• Improving and managing project software development tooling, automation pipelines and associated platforms and services.
• Using containers and orchestration platforms to deploy microservice architectures.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, and Azure cloud products.
• Key technical experience including (but not limited too) Windows 10, CentOS OS, VMware, Azure AD, and Exchange Server.
• Experience with public cloud infrastructure (MS Azure, AWS or GCP) is essential.
• Experience with CI & CD processes, tools and best practices.
• Experience with Docker and container technologies.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Experience with the Commonwealth Information Security Manual (ISM) would be a significant advantage.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

• Relevant tertiary level education in a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in Systems Administration.
• Demonstrated experience in DevOps engineering.
